Today, Sunday, Prof. Ahmed Ghallab- Aswan University President signed cooperation protocol under the title of ”Studying the Classification Inventory for Lands”, Prof. Ahmed Ghallab- Aswan University President said that the representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation and Center of Desert Research that is represented by Dr. Abdullah Kasam Zaglol as the Head of Desert Research Center and this comes within the frame of the role of the Egyptian Universities includes Aswan University and Assiut University.
Prof. Ahmed Ghallab- Aswan University President added that his belief with the importance of the scientific research and working on exchanging the scientific experiences, conducting the specialized studies and research in the fields of lands and water among the scientific institution for serving the agricultural development in our beloved Egypt.
Where Aswan University has scientific and research capabilities in several fields and land studies through the Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resources; the importance of signing this protocol came from the entirely benefiting from the scientists of Aswan University in the field of reclamation of lands. Prof. Ahmed Ghallab indicated that the importance of the Research Desert Center as a remarkable scientific foundation locally and internationally where the center is considered the house of expertise in the field of the development in the Egyptian Deserts, and as awareness of the importance of the Egyptian Universities as a remarkable scientific foundations locally and internationally where have the pioneer technical experiences and cadres in the various fields that are related to the study of the reclamation of lands.
According to the mission of the Ministry of Agriculture and Reclamation of Lands and consistent with the directives of the political leadership and needs of the community in terms of achieving the productional abundance and food production whether in the abundance in the main expansion or in sides. Dr.Abdullah Al-Qasim Zaghloul explained that the Minister of Agriculture and Reclamation of lands directed to the cooperation with the Egyptian Universities in the geographical scope of the areas in which the ministry conducts studies that are related to inventory and classification the soils.
Where Aswan and Assuit Universities from the universities that have all the technical components and scientific cadres that work on serving and developing the community, where two universities have important role and experiences in several fields include inventory and classification of lands and determine the appropriate crop composition for it, so the sides have agreed signed this protocol between Ministry of Agriculture and Reclamation of Lands that are represented in this agreement by Research Desert Center and the Egyptian Universities that are represented in this agreement by Aswan University and Assiut University in the attendance Dr. Ayman Othman- Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Dr. Yasser Abdel Hamid- Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Aswan University, and members of the delegation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Assiut University; at the end of the meeting two sides exchange memorable shields.
