Goals
Preparing graduates with the foundations of knowledge in the field of microbiology and highly skilled in the abilities required for the field of diagnostics, while keeping the department’s programs up to date. The department also aims to leverage its human resources, research capabilities, and consulting knowledge to solve microbial problems in farm animals, as well as environmental challenges, while also assisting the production and service sectors of the industry. This is accomplished through the provision of renowned study programs based on scientific standards, the conduct of scientific and practical research, and good engagement with the department’s role in supporting the environment and community development.

Aswan University’s Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, aspires to be one of the leading departments locally, regionally, and globally, with the ability to achieve competition, excellence, and continuous development in the fields of microbiology, scientific research, and community service.
Mission
Medicine strives to keep up with innovations in the field of microbiology. In addition, the department provides a distinct and effective educational and research service for undergraduate and postgraduate students in the field of microbiology in livestock, fish, and poultry, and it supports scientific research and projects to increase the growth of domesticated animals and preserve rare animal species and encourages students to contribute successfully in the community, in addition to preparing a highly competent veterinarian.
