Student activities sponsored by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine’s Student Welfare Department

Aswan University during the various academic years:

1. Hosting a ceremony to officially welcome freshmen at the start of the academic year in order to assist and motivate them to join and contribute to the college’s student community.

2- Starting and overseeing the work of college-level student elections, followed by university-level elections, and exposing new students to the mandates of student committees.

3-Starting and continuing the process of allowing student families to apply for establishment.

4- Executing the faculty’s scout day activity at the start of each academic year, which includes student participation from various teams in cleaning and beautifying the faculty building and fostering communication among students to learn about their outstanding talents and skills so they can be applied in a variety of fields.

5- The faculty’s involvement in numerous university-level activities through its students and union, in which the college students excel in the majority of them, and through the central administration for student welfare, including:

A- The Border Governorates Championship for various sports “Football – Table Tennis – Karate – Swimming”

B- Participation in competitions for “The Electronic and Paper Wall Magazine, Innovations, Initiatives, and Presentations”.

C – Student participation in the Information League competition at the university level as well as at the level of Egyptian universities.

D- Participation in religious, artistic, literary, story, theater, and poetry competitions.

6- Every year, a chess tournament for college students at the college building. Many students excel at this game and have attained various positions both inside and outside the university throughout the course of the various academic years. Therefore, a unique chess tournament was organized with awards for the victors in order to inspire the students.

7- The launch of an annual five-a-side football competition for college students, with the winning team getting prizes and honors from the faculty’s leadership.

8 The students of the faculty and the union were keen to hold a celebration of the Orphan’s Day every year, either by holding the ceremony at the faculty or at the orphanage in Aswan.

9- Holding a faculty exhibition to showcase portraits and innovations for students with technical and scientific skills; the best work will be awarded a valuable prize.

10- The students of the faculty and the union hold a rationalization and guidance day for the students of the various colleges of the university on how to identify and deal with foods such as meat, milk, and fish, and raise awareness about whether these foods are valid or not, under the supervision of the faculty members of the college.

11- The students of the faculty and the union were keen to make a trip to visit the various tourist attractions of Aswan every year.

12 -The keen interest of the college administration to arrange an annual scientific excursion for fourth- and fifth-batches to Cairo and Alexandria.
