Goals 

1. Preparing veterinarians who have wide and comprehensive awareness in the field of health food control, whether their capacity to discover and know foods that are unmatched by standards, checking meats, and deciding their validity for human consumption; the department will be a reference center in this matter.

2-Qualifying postgraduate studies students in the food hygiene field to have the ability to separate and diagnose food poisoning pathogens.

3-Counseling laboratories as well as environmental research in the field of food hygiene to know the extent of the safety of meats and their freedom from pathogens.

4-Holding seminars and research and training courses for veterinarians working in the food hygiene field.
