Vision
The Veterinary Medicine Department aims to provide a distinguished department at the level of the faculty, university, and the faculties of veterinary medicine in other universities (locally, regionally, and globally) by providing advanced veterinary education.
Mission
The department aims to graduate a distinguished, highly qualified student who can:
1: diagnosing veterinarian diseases and fighting them.
2: Maintaining veterinarian health and public health
3. Conducting scientific research in accordance with society’s principles to maintain livestock as well as advance and increase its production.
Goals
-Training highly qualified veterinarians in internal medicine, infectious diseases, fish diseases, and laboratory diagnostics in the areas of diagnosis, treatment, prevention, or control and prevention of their spread.
Preparing doctoral candidates with or without a professional degree, master’s degree, or Ph.D. in veterinary and aquatic medicine.
Prepare and train for a career in veterinary medicine through regional veterinary qualifications and graduate training.
It performs scientific research on the diagnosis and treatment of animal and fish diseases, as well as veterinary medicine development and clinical education.
Equip and prepare the sector to be a service and scientific research center, as well as a center for livestock, farmers, and breeders.
