About
The department’s goal is to graduate a veterinarian who can practice obstetrics and is trained to perform cesarean sections on various animals, as well as to prepare and train postgraduate students in this and scientific research, as well as to prepare specialized cadres in various branches of livestock development using assisted reproductive technologies such as in vitro fertilization, artificial insemination, embryo transfer, and modern methods of diagnosing pregnancy.
The department also aims to provide students and graduates with ongoing scientific skills through field therapeutic convoys or to prepare them through diploma, master’s, and doctoral degrees, as well as to hold workshops and training courses to highlight the most recent scientific discoveries in the field of animal reproduction and service to the surrounding environment, whether through therapeutic convoys in the region. Surrounding or training and preparing veterinarians to work in the veterinary field while conducting scientific research in this vital field of veterinary medicine contributes significantly to the development of livestock and raising farm economies based primarily on propagation and reproduction using modern technological methods.
Goals
1- Preparing graduates who are well aware of the reproductive, obstetric, and artificial insemination sectors, as well as highly skilled in the needed diagnostic abilities; creating a harmonization between departmental programs and recent modifications.
2- Working to invest its human resources, its research capabilities, and its consultancy experiments to solve the reproduction and obstetric problems of the animal farms, and the environmental problems.
3- Serving the Production and Service Sectors in order to carry out comprehensive development, which is accomplished by presenting distinct study programs in accordance with scientific standards, conducting scientific and practical research, and providing positive feedback for the department’s role in serving the environment and developing society.
