Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman-Acting of Aswan University President stressed that within the framework of the educational process in Aswan University, studying has been organized in Aswan University since Saturday corresponding to 9 October(2021/2022) for the new academic year, and this by study regularity and students attending in faculties among intensive precautionary measures have been applied in the various headquarters of faculties in Sahari -New Aswan City-Abu Al-Rish-Al-Nafaq which include 19 faculties, and the Institute of African Research and Studies and the Nile Basin Countries which received 30 thousand students distributed on the faculties of the university.
Dr. Ayman Othman-University President added that the administration of the university implemented the scheduled plan to apply precautionary measures for keeping the safety and health of our students, the first of these measures is completing the process of vaccinating students anti the emerging coronavirus, and this for more than 30 thousand students distributed on 19 faculties, and the Institute of African Research and Studies and the Nile Basin Countries.
He indicated that the vaccination works began since last Sept. 2021 by vaccinating all new students and workers of the university from academic staff and the employees, and it’s completing vaccinating old students and this continuous through Oct. and Nov., and this after preparing 6 units to receive vaccinations in the university’s branches in the sites and areas”Sahary, New Aswan, University Hospital, Abu Rish, Al Nafaq, the headquarter of the Faculty of Nursing.
Dr. Ayman Othman explained that vaccinating students comes along with following precautionary measures inside the university, with interest in wearing medical masks, observing social distance among students with applying purifying and sterilization measures among students with applying purifying and sterilization measures with alcoholic materials, measuring temperature during entering to the campus since the beginning of studying day.
Also, today, Dr.Ayman Othman conducted an inspection tour in the campus-Sahary- that included Faculties of (Agriculture and Natural Resources-Science-Social Work) to ensure the progress of the educational process to the fullest through taking care of the infrastructure from research laboratories in the departments of the Faculty of Science laboratories of the chemistry department, physics department, geology department and the rest of departments.
Dr. Ayman Othman-Acting of Aswan University President explained that all maintenance works have been completed in the university hostels, spraying, and sterilization work, with a timetable for the housing procedures for the academic year 2021/2022 by receiving housing applications for students who want to house in the university hostels electronically by ” Al Zahraa” website through the determined dates for all students ( freshmen and seniors); it’s already beginning housing students for students who accepted at the university hostels with taking care social cases and the highest estimates for seniors and birthdate of freshmen and the farthest distance and this is facilitating for our students.
Also, the electronic platforms for e-learning have been prepared and linked with the information and communication net network in the university.
