On Monday corresponding to 26\10\2020, Council of Aswan University No.(99) head by Prof.Ahmed Ghallab-Aswan University President held in attendance of Major General\Ashraf Attia-Governor of Aswan, Prof. Ayman Othman-Vice President for Studies and Research, and Dr. Majdy Mohammad Ali- Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, in the presence of the deans of faculties and the university president’s advisors.
Prof.Ahmed Ghallab inaugurated the works of the council by welcoming Major General\Ashraf Attia-Governor of Aswan and members of the council, Major General\Ashraf Attia- Aswan Governor emphasized the important role of the university in the governorate as it’s considered an expertise house and the extent of close cooperation in the various developmental fields between the university and governorate that are represented two sides of the same coin.
Major General\Ashraf Attia-Governor of Aswan expressed his pleasure with what Aswan University achieved to infrastructure and university constructions that are done in full swing under the leadership of Prof.Ahmed Ghallab for the university especially the university’s theatre in which Aswan University Council is held, the extents of the fruitful cooperation between Aswan University and Aswan Governorate whether in the constructions or digital transformation or in the different cooperated fields, and he indicated to what the university has achieved to the global classification which is considered an addition to the whole governorate and this is the ancient university is considered a pride for all governorate.
Prof.Ahmed Ghallab-Aswan University President added that the council discussed a lot of important subjects such as the importance of students’ participation in students activities in the light of the emerging coronavirus pandemic with applying all the precautionary measures to confront coronavirus according to the university’s plan that is carrying out since the beginning of the new academic year 2020\2021.
Aswan University President mentioned that the limitless supportive role of Aswan University for the university, and the council is held in the university’s theatre which is considered a new addition to the university’s constructions, on which the artistic and musical activities will be held for the university students as the area of theatre is (600) square meters, and includes (400) chairs for the attendance; the council concluded its works with granting some of the scientific degrees such as Master or Doctorate for the academic staff and their assistants.
