Under the patronage of Prof. Ahmed Ghallab –Aswan University President, Aswan University has organized a workshop about the scholarships and funding the research projects in cooperation with Newton Fund – Supervisor.
Prof.Ayman Othman –Vice Aswan President for postgraduate studies &Research affairs has declared that the workshop aims to encourage the scientific research in university by enrolling in the different programs from the funded entities by the attendance of a number of academic staff and the officials of the fund.
He added that the workshop spotlighted on the funded opportunities Newton Fund – Supervisor that are related to Ph.D. scholarships or other scholarships for students, while the fund supports the scientific research in a number of academic specializations and focus four developmental subjects (Water management, food, and health production, and new and renewable energy) .
Prof.Muhammed Abdel Azziz-Vice Dean of Faculty of Engineering has declared Newton Fund – Supervisor is a partnership in the field of science and scientific research between Egypt and the United Kingdom that will be continued for 7 years and its value £ 50 million and the fund includes the two sectors of the scientific research and innovation between two countries to find common solutions to face the challenges of Egypt in the fields of economic development and social caring.
