
Dr. Mohamed Zakaria Elhussiny has received the graduate school award for outstanding research works at Kyushu University, Japan.
Dr. Mohamed Zakaria Elhussiny, Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Animal and Poultry Behavior & Management, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Aswan University, has Obtained the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Agricultural Sciences ”Animal Metabolism and Behavior” and received the graduate school award for the outstanding research works. He also has given the commencement speech on behalf of all Ph.D. awardees in the Graduate School of Bioresource and Bioenvironmental Sciences, Kyushu University in Sept. 2022.
This award is the highest award granted to doctoral students at Kyushu University for the best doctoral theses. It is a great honor to receive this award from one of the most prestigious Universities in Japan.
He has got wonderful findings about the brain functions and regulatory mechanisms of taurine in chicks which could provide a novel approach for mitigating stress responses in poultry. He has authored and co-authored 9 publications in high-impact factor international journals. He also has authored and co-authored 14 Abstracts at well-known international conferences in the field. He has given 8 oral scientific presentations at well-known conferences in Japan, France, and South Korea. He has received several awards and grants from Kyushu University, Japan Poultry Science Association, and the Japanese Society of Animal Science.
Dr. Mohamed Zakaria concluded his speech at the graduation ceremony at Kyushu University by thanking the Egyptian government and Aswan University for giving him the opportunity to study for his Ph.D. in Japan. He also thanked his supervisor; Prof. Vishwajit Sur Chowdhury and his family for their support during his doctoral study period.
