President Abdul Fattah Al Sisi– President of the Republic issued a decree about assigning Dr. Ayman Mahmoud Othman Abu Zeid a President of Aswan University until reaching the legal age; Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar– Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced previously the continuous of Dr. Ayman Othman as Acting of Aswan University President until the president of Aswan University chosen. ”Othman” directed thanks and appreciation to President Abdul Fattah Al Sisi- President of the Republic, and Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar to renew the trust by appointing his Excellency as a President of Aswan University.
Dr. Ayman Othman took over the leadership of the university according to the ministerial decision that’s issued on 23/8/2021 about appointing him the Acting of Aswan University President. The presidential decision No. 1955 for 2017 that’s previously issued by assigning Dr. Ayman Mahmoud Othman Abu Zeid – Vice President of Aswan University for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs for 4 years. ”Othman” occupied several administrative and leading positions at Aswan University President, beginning as the head of the civil engineering department in the Faculty of Engineering, then Vice-Dean of Aswan University for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs reaching to the deanship of the Faculty of Engineering for two consecutive periods from 2011 until 2017, Vice -President of Aswan University for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs; then Acting of Aswan University President, then the President of Aswan University until he reaches the recruitment age.
Aswan University ranked the 95th place according to the British Times Classification through His Excellency assuming the responsibility of the university through the transitional period. Dr. Ayman Othman-University President signed an executive agreement between the University and the Egyptian Space Agency, Aswan University organized a medical convoy to Tanzania in July 2021, as well as Aswan University inaugurated recently the conference hall under the name of ”Field Marshal Mohamed Hussein Tantawi”; Othman took through the transitional period several of the supporting decisions to the educational process at Aswan University and the positive participation in the sector of community service and environmental development.
