In accordance with the directions of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the President of the Republic, and the launch of the ”Mawada Project” initiative to preserve the Egyptian family; today, Saturday, Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman, Acting President of Aswan University, witnessed the activities of this initiative, in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Solidarity, led by Minister Dr. Nevin Al-Qabbaj, Minister of Social Solidarity, and Dr. Rand Fares, Manager of the Project at the Ministry, in the presence of Dr. Magdy Mohamed Ali – the former vice president of the university – Dr. Mohamed Fawzy Wali – training consultant for ”Mawada Project” and Ahmed Mohamed Abbas – the executive coordinator of the ”Mawada Project” in the ministry – and Mamdouh al-Masry – the executive coordinator of the project in the ministry – and the work team of the social solidarity unit at the university and a number of academic staff in the university faculties
Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman stressed during his speech that the ”Mawaddah Project” initiative is a national initiative launched by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi – the President of the Republic during the Sixth Youth Conference in 2018, which aims to reduce the divorce rate in Egypt by rehabilitating young people who are about to marry and newlyweds, and it was launched Today, the activities of training the trainers from academic staff at the university within the framework of the national project to preserve the entity of the Egyptian family affection, which will continue throughout the day, Saturday, 4 until Sunday, corresponding to 5 September 2021, in order to be able to train students and introduce them to the content of the ”Mawaddah Project”, as suggested by the President of Aswan University It should be a curriculum taught to university students that includes courses that increase the students’ cultural and family awareness of Egyptian family issues and reproductive health among young people
For his part, Dr. Magdy Mohamed Ali, the former vice president of the university for community service and environmental development, added that the ”Mawaddah project” is a national initiative that works to achieve cohesion in the family if harmony prevails between spouses in a way that achieves psychological comfort for its members and protects them from the effects of deviation and work to support the family, its cohesion and strength. Its solidity, through raising awareness from psychologists and specialists, and activating the role of family care institutions in raising community members’ awareness of the importance of the Egyptian family and the seriousness of problems, through training courses for the two partners
Dr. Hamada Ragab, the Mawada Project Coordinator at Aswan University, pointed to the efforts made by all sectors of the state in general and the state’s launch of many initiatives with the aim of improving the quality of life of citizens and ensuring a better level of their economic, social and environmental life, especially the Mawaddah project initiative to preserve the Egyptian family, and that Through the Ministry of Social Solidarity for its sincere effort to provide a decent life for the Egyptian citizen at all levels.
Ahmed Mohamed Abbas, the executive coordinator of ”Mawaddah project” in the ministry, expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman for the burdens he incurred and who bore a lot on his shoulders in managing the university’s ship in light of strong waves and winds to bring to it safety, good reception, hospitality and cooperation in the implementation of the country’s political vision to launch and implement the national project to preserve the entity of the Egyptian family and reduce the divorce rate (an affection project) and within the framework of the cooperation protocol between the Ministry of Social Solidarity and the Ministry of Higher Education regarding the implementation of an affection program for university students
