Dr. Ayman Mahmoud Othman-Acting President of Aswan University stated that within the framework of the directions of the state and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in launching the Corona Virus Vaccine campaign, vaccination work for academic staff, administrative staff, and university students with The Coronavirus vaccine was launched today, Wednesday in coordination with Aswan University Hospital.
Dr. Ayman Othman added that Aswan University is keen to vaccinate its members, which aims to reach 37,000 academic staff and their assistants, students, and university employees. Four committees have been assigned to receive and provide vaccines at the university campus in Sahara, the university campus in New Aswan City, the Faculty of Engineering in Abu Rish, and the University Hospital in Aswan. With full compliance with all precautionary measures.
Dr. Mohamed Zaki El-Dahshoury– Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Aswan University Hospitals indicated that coordination has been made between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Ministry of Health and Population, to vaccinate academic staff, administrators, and students in Egyptian universities and university hospitals in preparation for the next academic year 2021/2022.
Dr. Ashraf Maabad– Executive Director of Aswan University Hospitals, explained that a medical committee was formed to visit the headquarters of the committees designated to receive the vaccine, including the University Hospital in Aswan, and this comes within the framework of providing medical service to the university’s workers; and Aswan University Hospital provides the vaccine and medical kits while taking all precautionary measures to confront the Coronavirus.
Dr. Mohammad Sobhi– General Director of the University’s Medical Department, added that in coordination between the Medical Department and the University Hospital, places and nursing staff were provided to give the serum to the university’s employees to receive the Corona vaccine inside the university campus in Sahara, amid applying all precautionary measures to maintain their safety.
”Sobhi ”also mentioned that new students will be vaccinated for the next academic year, upon signing the medical examination at their college headquarters.
