font-size: 20px; font-family: Cairo;\">Content :<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 17px; color: #333333;\">Due to the library&#8217;s good reputation in providing scientific and educational services, the library of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Aswan University, offers many scientific and educational services according to its role as part of the university&#8217;s general cultural and educational system. This role is not limited to college students only but extends to the scientific community system through students and researchers from different colleges and universities, as well as academic sta<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 17px; color: #000080;\">Library objectives:<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #333333; font-size: 17px;\">1- Assisting courses and curricula by stocking the library with everything related to the college&#8217;s scientific disciplines.<br \/>2- Attempting to keep abreast of developments in scientific research in order to keep up with external developments and achieve the highest level.<br \/>3- Developing those skills through self, collaborative, and participatory- learning.<br \/>4- Establishing scientific and technical foundations within the library to facilitate research and information access in the shortest amount of time and with the least amount of effort.<br \/>5- Providing special needs people with electronic services.<br \/>6- Designing directories and indexes for the library&#8217;s holdings, which include scientific theses, periodicals, and traditional and electronic information containers.<br \/>7- Creating bibliographies to aid in research and viewing.<br \/>8- Arranging and organizing bibliographies according to the plan of applying the Dewey Decimal Classification<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 17px; color: #333333;\">The library organizes the borrowing system, whether internal or external, according to the laws followed at Al-Azhar University, which are as follows:<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family: Cairo; color: #000080; font-size: 17px;\">Internal borrowing:<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 17px; color: #333333;\">In the process of searching and viewing, the library uses an open shelves system, recording all books inside the campus library on a computer in the library and creating an electronic index system for these books to demonstrate the location of the book within the library in order to facilitate access to it and save the time and effort of both the researcher and the library employee. The most number of researchers with the least amount of time and effort, with those who are responsible for the library following up with and assisting the researchers.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family: Cairo; color: #000080; font-size: 17px;\">External borrowing:<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family: Cairo; color: #333333; font-size: 17px;\">The borrower has the right to borrow a certain number of books as follows<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: Cairo; color: #333333; font-size: 17px;\">The teacher (faculty member) has five books.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: Cairo; color: #333333; font-size: 17px;\">The assistant teacher, the teaching assistant, and the employee are three books.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: Cairo; color: #333333; font-size: 17px;\">It is forbidden to borrow theses and scientific theses and copy them, as well as scientific periodicals, dictionaries, atlases, encyclopedias, bibliographies, and books of one copy, outside the scope of the library, but it is allowed to use them inside it.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: Cairo; color: #333333; font-size: 17px;\">The borrowing period is set for one month from the date of borrowing the book. If the borrower fails to return the book on the specified date, he will be given a warning. If he does not respond, the university will be addressed to take legal action against him by deducting the price of the book from his salary at the current price, with the addition of 10% administrative expenses.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 17px; color: #000080;\">Books must be delivered to the library:<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family: Cairo; color: #333333; font-size: 17px;\">The library is one of the most important departments in the college because it is based on student service and scientific research, which is the ultimate goal of the educational process. Therefore, many correspondences and scientific gifts are received as follows:-<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family: Cairo; color: #333333; font-size: 17px;\">-Some books and periodicals are returned to the library as a gift, and a scientific committee is formed for the library by the Dean of the College, which includes professors from the departments to examine the scientific content of these books, price them financially, and submit its report to the university to indicate the validity of these books or not and the extent of their benefit in the library.
