Statement of the supreme council of the universities in its session no.698 in 21\/3\/2020<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The supreme council of the universities -session no.698 in 21\\3\\2020 was held where the council reviewed \u00a0the future plans for studying in the universities in the framework of the updating of the global \u00a0status for the outbreak of the novel COVID19 . and the necessity of taking the necessary measures for preventing the outbreak of this pandemic in the light of the decision of his excellency the president of the republic to suspend studying for two weeks . At the beginning of the session the council has valued the decisions of the Egyptian state to keep the health of the Egyptians and all efforts that have been exerted by the various ministries and sectors of the state in this regard.<\/span><\/p>\n

The council appeals the citizens the necessity of abiding the decisions of the state to limit the outbreak of the infection ,and also thanks all the academic staff ,assistant body and all the university staff for their quick and distinctive support for the e-learning system \u00a0, also extended a tribute for all health service providers from doctors ,nurses staff and technical and administrative staff of the hospitals for their heroic role that they are playing during this accurate period from the life of the nation.<\/span><\/p>\n

The council confirmed on the attention to the health of the students , the academic staff and all employees of the universities and the university hospitals is its first priority for keeping it by taking all necessary measures.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to that the council decided the following:<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

1-Stressing on implementing the announced emergency plan to face the novel Corona-virus inside the buildings and facilities of the universities plus the attention to the sterilization and continuous disinfection.<\/span><\/p>\n

2- Confirming on the decisions of the supreme council of the universities that hold in its emergency session in 19\\3\\2020.<\/span><\/p>\n

3-The continuous of activating the e-learning education during the period of suspending study according to the measures that ensure the continuous of the educational operation for the second semester with full activity and quality and this for the theoretical for all faculties in while the practical application for all scientific faculties will be after the resumption of the study or in the summer vacation according to the decisions of each university.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a04- The continuous of coordination with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology to provide the log in and the free usage for the electronic educational platforms.<\/span><\/p>\n

5-In the case of the continuous of suspending study after the previously announce dates ,the mid-term exams of the second semester will be canceled and its degrees will be combined with the final exams of the second semester.<\/span><\/p>\n

6-Postpone the final exams of the second semester and it haven\u2019t to be hold before Saturday 30\\5\\2020 according to the schedules that will be announced by each university or in the date that will be announced later according to the updating of the matters.<\/span><\/p>\n

7- For graduate students, it is left for each university to set the date for holding its exams according to what it deems appropriate, provided that the duration of the study disruption is not counted within the study period necessary to obtain the academic degree.<\/span><\/p>\n

8- The Council decided that in the event of a permanent meeting to follow all the updates and take the necessary measures in a timely manner, in compliance with the state\u2019s plan to preserve the health of Egyptians, and to prevent the epidemic spread of the novel Corona virus.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
